Official Samsung Unpacked – SURPRISE SURPRISE

Samsung surprised everyone by announcing Part 2 of the Galaxy Unpacked event today. They’ve sent out invitations to an event they’re hosting online on Wednesday, October 20 at 7 a.m. PT. Now Samsung has not revealed what exactly it is going to announce on the event. The invite hints at some type of customization for Galaxy devices, which may very well be a software-related announcement.

Perhaps something about One UI and a stable rollout of Android 12. Nevertheless, we now have some inside information that the star of this unboxing event might be none aside from the Galaxy S21 FE, as sources within the Taiwanese supply chain claim that this may indeed be the case. This may come as an enormous surprise to everyone as there have been reports that the S21 FE competition has been canceled or postponed to January. There have been even rumors that Samsung wouldn’t hold a special unboxing event for the phone and would as an alternative announce it in a press release. It seems that every of those reports was… Even we had a report from Sammobiles that the Galaxy S22 has been pushed to February and we will make certain that it’s also primary…

Due to this event, the approaching week might be filled with excitement because the Apple event will happen on October 18, during which the brand new MacBook Pros and the successor to the M1 chip might be presented. The subsequent day, Google will launch the long-awaited Pixel 6 phones, while Samsung will launch the S21 FE on October 20. Let me know what you are most looking forward to within the comments below. Having said that, it is evident that Samsung has been combating a world chip shortage for a while now.

Not only Samsung but in addition every other major Android OEM including Google, Xiaomi, Oppo and others are still combating the issue. But in case you’ve noticed, Apple hasn’t faced any availability issues with its mobile processors. It is because Apple has reserved production capability at TSMC well upfront. Nevertheless, it seems that this didn’t last long, as Apple is now having difficulty securing other chip components. Bloomberg reports that Apple has lowered its iPhone 13 production goal for the fourth quarter of this 12 months. They were initially expected to provide 90 million units, but have now reduced that number by 10 million to 80 million units attributable to unavailability of chips. This just goes to point out that nobody is proof against the large chip shortage.

With that said, I’m seeing lots of reports from major publications that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can have an under-display fingerprint scanner, each inside and in-display on the case. They are saying this due to a patent that Samsung recently filed. Let me make this clear: simply because an organization has filed a patent doesn’t suggest its next product will feature this technology. It doesn’t work like that. Corporations file patents on a regular basis, and only a small fraction of them actually reach the production stage. So no, this patent doesn’t confirm that the Z Fold 4 can have two cameras under the display.
